Artist Ted wants you to join him for a drive back in time

Artist Ted Coney wants to take you on a "virtual tour" of his paintings, to raise money for the NHS.

Mr Coney, who was head of art at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge for 30 years before his retirement from teaching, was planning on opening his pop up art gallery, Ted Coney's Family Portraits, but it has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Additionally, he was supposed to take his 1931 Morris Minor, which appears in several of his paintings, to Ely's VE Day Celebrations last Friday - but this, again, was cancelled for the same reason.

Now, he's offering people the chance to see his artwork online, with a "virtual tour" on his website. For 99p, you can see four of Mr Coney's paintings, while he "flies" back in time in his Morris to 1930s Hollywood, where he discusses his painting Dear Reginald Owen.

All proceeds from the tour will be going directly to NHS Charities Together. To get your ticket visit tedconeysfamilyportraits.co.uk
